Autocross Day

A day at the track

The Basics of an Autocross Day in the North:

8:00 AM: Setup Begins
This includes the staging of the course and all the equipment needed to time competitors throughout the day.

9:00 AM: Registration and Technical Inspection
Completion of your registration form and payment collection is required before you may race. Insurance and liability documents must be signed as well.
For your 'race car' to pass tech, no unsecured items may remain in the vehicle, no loose connections under the hood may be present, and your vehicle must have an overall good bill of health.
All competitors are given numbers which are written on the timing board. This is to help you keep your place in line throughout the day, and to help make sure the event runs smoothly, in a timely fashion.

9:45 AM: Learning the Course
To get to know the track, as a group we will view and discuss the course map, walk the course, and do a slow parade in our cars. Learning the course prior to your first run, helps prepare you for the day.

10:00 AM: Racing Begins!
Each stage is split up into 6 runs. The fastest run in each stage is pronounced the winner and is entitled to bragging rights!

12:00 PM: Lunch Break

1:00 PM: Racing Continues

3:00-4:00 PM: Racing Ends; Winner is Pronounced; Track and Equipment Clean-Up
